Affiliate disclosure

FlightPayout earns referral commissions. When you follow a "start your claim" link on this site and a claim-management service takes your case, that service pays us a fee. This is our only source of revenue. It does not change the amount you receive from the service, and you are never required to use it: claiming directly with the airline yourself is free, and we publish instructions for doing exactly that. Affiliate links are marked by opening in a new tab with rel="sponsored".

Everything on this site is general information about EU Regulation 261/2004 and its UK equivalent, not legal advice, and reading it does not create any client relationship. Calculator verdicts are estimates based on the details you enter; the eligibility of any specific claim depends on facts we cannot verify (actual arrival times, the real cause of disruption, your booking terms) and on national law, including limitation periods that range from roughly one to six years. Confirm time limits and legal requirements before relying on them, and consider qualified legal help for contested cases.

Privacy

The compensation calculator runs entirely in your browser. The flight details you enter are never transmitted to us or stored anywhere — there is no backend, no account, and no claim handling on this site.

We do not set cookies. For traffic statistics we use Plausible, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service that records aggregate page views only — no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking. Third-party scripts served by our advertising or monetization partners may process technical data such as your IP address and user agent under their own privacy policies; if you use an ad blocker, the site works fully without them.

External links — including the claim service and airline claim pages — are operated by third parties. Whatever you submit there is governed by their terms and privacy policies, not ours.

Accuracy

Airline data (routes, contact links, facts) is curated by hand and may go stale. If you spot an error, email hello@owedbyairline.com and we will fix it.
